An Introduction

It is Monday the 20th of April, 2020.

In New Zealand, where I am writing this from, the Covid-19 virus has fortunately reached its peak and now we look ahead to try to make sense of what our individual and collective futures might look like. Our Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, has today outlined how we will ease our way out of alert level 4 (full lockdown) and begin the daunting task of getting the economy back up and running.

We, like millions of people around the world, have been advised to prepare for the worst. A deep recession is coming our way, we are told, and will hit us like nothing we’ve seen in our lifetime.

The purpose of this blog is to help those people who - through no fault of their own - have had their jobs pulled out from underneath them. As somebody who runs an event and entertainment business, I know too well how bleak the outlook appears. But there are many possible ways forward, and my sincere hope is that you’ll discover a money-making idea that resonates strongly and works for your lifestyle.

Kia kaha. Be strong.
